This Privacy Policy describes how blue ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: Your email address when you register for an account.
  • Usage data: Stock tickers you analyze, scores generated, your watchlist, portfolio holdings, and learn module progress.
  • Payment information: If you purchase a Blueprint plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details — only your subscription status and plan type.
  • Communications: If you submit feedback or contact us, we retain the content of your message and your email address.
  • Technical data: Basic session and authentication tokens necessary to operate the Service securely.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription.
  • Send you a weekly digest email summarizing your watchlist scores, if you have opted in. You may opt out at any time via account settings or the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Respond to your feedback, questions, or support requests.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Third-party service providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:

  • Authentication and database provider — stores your account data and usage history securely.
  • Payment processor— handles all payment transactions for Blueprint plan purchases. We do not store your payment details directly. The payment processor's own privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
  • Email delivery provider — used solely to send transactional emails and the optional weekly digest. Your email address is not used for any other purpose.
  • AI processing provider — used to generate stock summaries and portfolio analysis (Blueprint plan only). Only anonymized scoring data is transmitted — no personally identifiable information is shared.

Financial market data is sourced from publicly available market data providers. No personally identifiable information is shared with these data sources.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to operate the Service:

  • Authentication cookies: Set by Supabase to maintain your logged-in session. These are strictly necessary to use the Service.
  • Local storage: Used to store lightweight UI preferences on your device. No personal data is stored in local storage.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking of any kind.

5. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will permanently delete your email address, analysis history, portfolio data, watchlist, and all other personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data, subject to applicable legal requirements.
  • Opt-out of emails: Unsubscribe from the weekly digest at any time via account settings or the unsubscribe link in any email.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
